Diesen wahrlich wunderbaren Schlussmoment von "Epitaph One" haben Maurissa Tancharoen und Jed Whedon geschrieben (Maurissa singt). Die mp3 gibt's bei Amazon.com, auch bei .de, aber da scheint ein Regionalblock am Werk zu sein.

Okay, ich hab News:

• Meebo hat eine Reihe von Behind the Scene Clips (Joss-Interviews) zum Anlass des DVD-Releases. Meist bisher unbekanntes Zeug. Und lustig noch dazu.
• Es kann oder kann nicht sein, dass heute Nacht die eine oder andere Folge von Dollhouse, die bisher nicht ausgestrahlt wurde, womöglich hier oder dort aufgetaucht ist. Bin grad am überprüfen.
• Das oben gesagte kann oder kann nicht auch für einen nie ausgestrahlten Piloten zutreffen.
• Spoilende Reviews von "Epitaph One" tauchten in der Zwischenzeit hier und da auf.

Yay, in einer scheinbar nur dafür geschaffenen neuen Kategorie wurde Dr. Horrible tatsächlich als nicht-TV für einen Emmy nominiert! Ein Interview mit Joss darüber hat Sci-Fi Wire. Auch Dollhouse kommt hilariously vor:

Whedon: I'd be doing it more, but Fox forgot to cancel my show.

They tried.

Whedon: Very awkward. They looked and said, "Oh, this is our bad. We forgot to cancel your show. You're going to have to make more."

Now we know the real reason. :)

Kleine Neuigkeiten:

• Folge 2x01 wird von Joss geschrieben und gedreht und hat nun auch einen Namen: "Vows".
• Spoiler TV hat den Casting Call. Produktionsbeginn ist immer noch für den 22. Juli angesetzt.
• Maurissa lässt uns kurz in den writers Room blicken. Vlnr: Tim Minear's Füße, Drehbuchassistentin Jenny, Joss und seine Spritzpistole, Michele Fazekas und Tara Butters.

Sarah Fain meldet sich kurz zu Wort:

"We weren't looking to leave Dollhouse, but Tim Roth really liked our script last season, so the studio wanted us over here. It's a little sad, but everybody on LTM is great, and we're working with Shawn Ryan again, which is always a good thing. Plus, we have a great office!"

Endlich wird auch der non-Facebook-Welt offenbart, dass Mircale in Staffel 2 wieder dabei sein wird. Sie selbst weiß noch nicht genau, wie das aussehen wird:

"All I know for sure is that I'm coming back next season," Orange County native Laurie says over the phone from Los Angeles, where she's enjoying a break until Dollhouse begins filming again in late summer. "I don't actually know in what form I'll be back. The writers are kind of teasing me…everybody knows but me."

Und sie gibt besagtem Interview auch endlich zu ein Langzeit-Joss-Nerd zu sein:

"I auditioned for Buffy (the Vampire Slayer) at least a thousand times, I tried out to be a series regular on Firefly -- I auditioned for years for his stuff," says Laurie, who will be in Baltimore this weekend, signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans at the annual Shore Leave sci-fi convention at the Hunt Valley Marriott. "It was really a miracle, no pun intended."

Es ist also dann doch noch passiert, gestern. 20th Century Fox entschuldigt sich für einen komplett verhunzten Vorbestellvorgang für die Comic Con Limited Edition DVD Box indem sie den eigentlich für ihre Kunden vorgesehenen Previewclip allen zugänglich machen.

Keine Panik, ich schätze, wegen dem wirklich späten, quasi last-minute-Renewal hat Dollhouse es einfach stressiger als manch andere Show, und braucht daher etwas mehr Zeit in der Vorbereitung. Also gibt ihnen Fox eine Woche mehr, und die Premiere der 2. Staffel rutscht auf den 25. September.

A source at the network confirms the one-week delay and explains that the push is meant to accommodate the already-tight "Dollhouse" shooting schedule. "Dollhouse" is going back into production in two weeks and FOX intends to air new episodes over consecutive weeks in the fall (as much as possible), so the new premiere date gives Joss Whedon and company a little additional breathing room.

And in response to a frequently heard question, our FOX source says that as of now, FOX still hasn't licensed the unaired "Dollhouse" bonus episode "Epitaph One" (made for 20th Century Fox TV, but not for the network) and, thus, has no plans for the episode to air in primetime.
