TV Guide guys suggest that the actors in question are James Marsters, Juliet Landau and Charisma Carpenter. (And just how great would it be to see Spike and Drusilla reunite?) Other reports say that Tom Lenk (Andrew of the evil geek trio) has already been offered a part on the show. None of this has been confirmed yet, you understand, but it just sounds too good not to report.

Etliches davon wussten wir schon, wie z.B. dass James Marsters mitspielen und Charisma Carpenter mitlesben will. Landau und Lenk sind aber neu im Gerüchtepool, und wären beide natürlich herzlich willkommen, im Dollhouse.

Was auch immer dieser "forgo a pilot"-Teil heißt.

Das hier ist vielversprechend:

First up, I am hearing that an offer is out to British actress Olivia Williams (Miss Austen Regrets, Rushmore) to play the role of Adele DeWitt in FOX's upcoming Joss Whedon drama Dollhouse.

Williams war 98/99 ja mal durchaus very relateable. Mit Rushmore und The Sixth Sense hat sie zwei damaligen Jungstar-Regisseuren zu ihrem jeweiligen Karriere-Highlight verholfen. Über eine Bestätigung wäre ich wirklich ecited!

Edit: Gilt der Hollywood Reporter als "Bestätigung"?

Noch jemand, der schauspielerisch schon seinen fetten Fußabdruck im Whedonverse gesetzt hat, mag mitmachen:

"Wow, that sounds great. He hasn't mentioned it to me, but if he wants me to come and read, I would love to. He's a great boss."

In fact, we all would love that. Das heißt aber auch, er war unter den gelesenen Oldies damals nicht dabei...

Jewel also told fans that she’d been asked to go to LA in the Spring to record a commentary for the new special edition of Firefly that they’re working on. Great news for fans, but Jewel wonders why they don’t just make more instead of re-releasing it again.

Das finde ich höchst wunderbar.

Whedons Obsession mit Battlestar Galactica gehört ja zu den Dingen, die ich rein gar nicht nachvollziehen kann, aber es dürfte für die Ratings wohl eine gute Neuigkeit sein, dass unter den wier neuen Namen ein bekanntes BSG-Gesicht dabei ist:

Tahmoh Penikett as Paul Smith: 30s, good looks hardened by a cynical distaste for most of humanity. An FBI field agent, he's been chasing the urban myth of the Dollhouse long enough to have lost any shot at promotion. Becomes obsessed with and a twisted romantic foil for Echo (Eliza Dushku).

Fran Kranz as Topher Brink: 20s, genius programmer who's articulate, nerdily attractive and blithely amoral. He's responsible for imprinting the Dolls—and making sure they stay unaware of anything. Is fascinated by the science and kind of digging the illegality. Fun to be around but might not be remotely trustworthy.

Dichen Lachman as Sierra: 20s, Asian (or certainly not Caucasian). Strikingly beautiful. A Doll like Echo, she has every personality in the world but her own. Is not as self-aware as Echo but is instinctively drawn to her as a friend.

Enver Gjokaj as Victor: 20s, handsome and fit. A Doll, and the other closest thing to a friend Echo has. Childlike when he's inactive, and everything from Errol Flynn to a young DeNiro when he's active.

Dies berichten heute alle. Manche sprechen sogar von "a spokesperson for Twentieth Television confirms" und geben dem ganzen somit faktische Relevanz. Und nochmal kurz zusammengefasst:
