And again: mid-season
Argh. Es scheint sich doch alles für die mid-season zu verdichten:
I'm told FBC has picked up Joss Whedon's new Dollhouse (20th Century Fox TV) for mid-season. Given his rabid Whedonesques, who don't take rejection well, I don't see how the network could have said no this time around.
Auch bei Variety steht was von Bestätigung:
Also coming in midseason -- and perhaps also on the night -- Joss Whedon's highly anticipated "Dollhouse," which already had an episodic order heading into the upfronts.
ive been hearing that they will heavily promote Fringe for the fall, while they will heavily promote Dollhouse for the winter. Apparently, Dollhouse will be put as either a lead-in or led-out for 24/American Idol. This is good news, and shows Fox’s faith in the series because they are putting it in with one of its three major hits (house, 24, american idol). If i had to choose between heavy promotion and a great timeslot midseason, and shared (but lets be honest: lesser) promotion with Fringe in the fall, in a so-so timeslot, i would definetly choose midseason. Many midseason shows have gone on to become huge hits ( grey’s anatomy) and i since as of now, everybody who has seen Dollhouse’s pilot script has given it stellar, and i mean stellar reviews (televisionary, watch with kristin etc.) i think that we should expect great things from Joss Whedon’s newest show
(Zur Erklärung: Fringe ist die neue J.J. Abrams-Show, die das große Fox-Hoffnungsträger-Kind für die neue Saison ist. Neben Dollhouse. Vor Dollhouse. Gegen Dollhouse.)
Außerdem kann mehr Zeit ne bessere Show bedeuten, und bessere Shows haben in meine naiven Weltbild bessere Überlebenschancen. Und wir verbleiben natürlich bei: Alles nur heftige Spekulation, the Big Day ist coming.
